We finally tried the much-talked-about Pizza Night at The Lakes in Burgh le Marsh, and honestly… what took us so long?
We’ve eaten here twice before for evening meals and have always been impressed, but this was our first time sampling their pizza night special — and it did not disappoint.
The chefs work their magic with wood-fired pizzas cooked in the true Neapolitan style and you can taste the care and craft in every bite. Light, airy crusts with that perfect char, generous toppings and beautifully balanced flavours throughout.
The menu itself is really well thought out, offering a wide variety of toppings that genuinely tickle every taste bud — whether you’re a traditionalist or someone who loves to try something a little different. And let’s talk size: these pizzas are huge — the kind that arrive at the table and immediately make you grin.
The deal also includes a side and a drink, with your choice of beer, house wine, or a soft drink — and the price is incredibly reasonable, worth every penny for the quality and portion size you receive.
The surroundings are comfy and cosy, making it the perfect place to linger. Once you’ve eaten, why not take the rest of your drink to the bar, or enjoy a warming coffee by the fire before heading home? It’s those little touches that turn a meal into an experience.
To top it all off, the staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating, adding to the relaxed, welcoming vibe that keeps us coming back.
If you’re anywhere near Skegness and haven’t tried Pizza Night at The Lakes yet, put it firmly on your must-visit list. We’ll absolutely be back — and next time, we won’t wait so long.
